Physician holding the Baird MWA needle

Baird MWA needle

Designed for microwave energy delivery

Explore the Baird microwave ablation (MWA) needle, including its design, ultrasound visualization, ex vivo ablation-zone data, and available configurations.

Ablation zone

Limited forward extension

Bench testing showed the ablation zone developing predominantly toward the shaft, with limited extension beyond the needle tip at tested settings.
