Johns Hopkins KOL Exchange Visit to Baird Medical China

January 2024 - a delegation from Johns Hopkins, led by Dr. Jon Russell and Dr. Kaitlyn Frazier, visited the Ultrasound Department of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center in Guangzhou, China. The purpose of the visit was to foster academic and clinical exchanges on the latest innovations in thyroid microwave ablation (MWA) technology.

Highlights of the Visit

The Johns Hopkins team observed a series of live MWA demonstrations at Zhongshan University Cancer Center, where Chinese experts showcased advanced techniques in thyroid ablation. The visit provided an opportunity to share best practices and discuss clinical outcomes in managing thyroid nodules using minimally invasive technologies.

The delegation also visited Baird Medical’s headquarters for a hands-on demonstration of Baird’s MWA systems. The visit included simulated procedures and in-depth discussions on how Baird’s technology aligns with global standards for safety and efficacy.
